From the sweeping plains of the Serengeti to the warm coral reefs of Mafia Island, this trip combines two incredible worlds: wildlife and diving. Witness Africa’s great migration, explore the Ngorongoro Crater, and then shift gears for days spent diving with whale sharks in turquoise water. This is an adventure that blends safari, sea, and culture into one unforgettable experience.
Our Itinerary

Days 1-2: Arusha
Accommodation: Gran Meliá Arusha
Arrive in Tanzania and settle into the beautiful Gran Meliá Arusha, resting at the foot of Mount Meru. After a long journey, enjoy a relaxed evening to rest and acclimate.

Days 3-5: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Tarangire Sopa Lodge
Begin your safari adventure in one of Tanzania’s most captivating parks. Tarangire’s vast landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and herds of elephants set the tone for your journey.

Days 6-7: Ngorongoro Highlands & Oldeani Mountain Lodge

Travel through the lush highlands of Karatu to the Ngorongoro region — one of Africa’s most stunning natural wonders.

Days 8-10: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Ole Serai Luxury Camp (Central Serengeti)
Continue your safari into the heart of the Serengeti. From your luxury tented camp near Moru Kopjes and Lake Magadi, enjoy prime access to daily wildlife encounters.

Days 11-14: Mafia Island
Accommodation: Mafia Island Lodge
After days on safari, transition to island paradise. Fly from Arusha to Mafia Island for a relaxed yet adventure-filled dive escape in Chole Bay — the heart of the marine park.
✺ 3 full days of 2-tank diving (6 dives total)
✺ Whale shark encounters
✺ Explore vibrant reefs home to seahorse, frogfish, and nudibranch

Transfer from Mafia Island to the mainland for your international flight home.

Scuba certification card required for each diver.
We recommend all divers purchase DAN membership (click logo to be taken to their site)
