Scuba Center Cancellation Policy
At Scuba Center, we understand that travel plans can change. To provide clarity and ensure a smooth experience for all our customers, we have outlined our cancellation policy below*. Please review it carefully.
1. Cancellation by Customer**
More than 1 year before departure: If you cancel your booking more than 1 year before your scheduled departure, you will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of $200.00 or you can transfer the full amount of your deposit to another trip.
3 months to 1 year before departure: If you cancel between 3 months and 1 year before your departure date, your refund is contingent on whether your space can be filled. All deposits will be held until this time. Once your space has been filled, you will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of $200.00.
Less than 3 months before departure: If you cancel less than 3 months before your departure date, your refund is contingent on whether your space can be filled. All deposits and payments will be held until this time. Once your space has been filled, you will receive a full refund minus an administrative/cancellation fee of $1000.00.
No-Show: If you fail to show up for your scheduled trip without prior cancellation, no refund will be issued.
*Our policies are subject to change by the vendors’ cancellation policy for your specific trip. Please inquire about the cancellation policy specific to your trip.
**Liveaboards often have more restrictive cancellation policies - understandable given their relatively small capacity. In some cases, the boat may need to sail full in order for us to receive reimbursement from the vendor. Reimbursement for cancellation on a liveaboard trip is entirely contingent on the liveaboard company’s policy.
2. Cancellation by Scuba Center
*In the unlikely event that Scuba Center needs to cancel your trip due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events), you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the option to reschedule your trip for a future date.
*This is entirely contingent on refunds from the vendors we are working with on this trip.
3. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may cause you to cancel or interrupt your trip. Scuba Center is not responsible for any costs associated with cancellations outside of our policy, including flights, hotels, or other travel arrangements.
4. Refund Process
A written request for a cancellation/refund is required (email is okay). Upon receipt by the travel staff, your refund will be processed within 10 business days.
